However, you usually need a piece of PDF editing software to do it, such as Adobe Acrobat. PDFs don’t have this problem: they look the same on all systems! Can you join PDFs together? That’s because DOCs connect with installed fonts and other specific attributes of an operating system, so there’s no telling what they’ll look like on other systems. If you save that file as a DOC and give it to someone else, the DOC will probably look a lot different for the second person. With DOC files, you usually create them in a word processor either online with something like Google Docs or in a standalone program such as Microsoft Word. You might think a PDF is the same thing as a DOC. Sometimes, a person creates a PDF on a computer, but PDFs can also be scans of physical items, such as paper documents, ID cards, and more. In most cases, a PDF contains text, but it can also contain active links and even images. This is not just “I want you to make me an APP”.A PDF file is a type of digital document. I’m a Junior web developer and if this gets traction and some people want to help I want to be part of the development team for the APP. I would like to see your opinions and ideas for this, maybe I’m a bit too enthusiastic about this and it’s blinding me I think this has a lot of potential to be exploted, and a lot of many use cases. Maybe you want to merge two or more PDFs secuentially, or even the opposite and separate each page in individual PDF files. ![]() My current idea is that the app should have an option to “upload” as many PDF files as you want, and options of how to merge them. To fix this I always used webpages that merge those PDF for you, but I’m always a bit concerned about the privacy of those sites… Yesterday occured to me that this is a nice APP idea for Nextcloud. You are left with Two PDF files, one with the even pages in one PDF in regular order, and one PDF with the even pages in inverse order. As many of this scanners, it only scans one side of every page, so for scan a two sided document, you scan one side of the pages, and then scan the other side. I have a printer with a sheet feeding scanner (I think that’s the name in english). ![]()
